Challenge: Examine your thoughts and remove the ones that do you no good.

Explanation: We all have an inner voice; a voice that continually speaks to us. Most of the time we’re not conscious of it, but even so it’s there in all we do. “You should get up at such-and-such time to avoid being late.” “Call your mom. It’s been a while since you talked to her.” “I wonder what people are saying about me on Facebook?” “These challenges are getting harder…” “It’s almost lunch time. I’m so hungry…” Hundreds of phrases, thoughts and ideas that come to our mind through this voice every day.

Obviously, this voice influences everything you do. Before taking any action, we listen to this inner voice. It exerts a great deal of influence over us. If this voice says good things, we do good. If it suggests bad things, chances are we will manifest bad behavior.

Knowing this, an intelligent man keeps constant watch on his inner voice. He examines his thoughts to make sure that they are good. He knows that maintaining a clean mind involves blocking dirty information from entering into his body, because in the end, we are what we think.

Your challenge this week is to rummage through your mind and identify the negative thoughts that rise to the surface here and there. Stay alert to your inner voice, and observe whether it’s telling you good or bad things. Be VERY CAREFUL, these thoughts are very subtle; you may not even realize that they are harming you.

Studies show that our mind has a tendency to lean towards negative thoughts. This means that on a day to day basis we have more negative thoughts than positive ones.  Regret from the past, worries about the future, distractions in the present… our inner voice is constantly taking detours from what we should really be thinking about. Don’t say that you don’t have this problem.

Once you identify a negative thought, immediately rebuke it, and replace it with something positive. This is crucial!

Notebook: With your notebook open, watch this video. Take notes of what helps you and what caught your attention.

Official Partner: Speak to your partner about this challenge. Talk about what you discovered about your inner voice, and how many times you’ve caught it saying something negative, destructive or distracting. Share how it felt to be more aware of your inner voice.

Deadline: You can begin working on this task immediately. Complete it in a week. Obviously, you should keep working on this task in future, it will always help.

    IntelliMen Challenge #12 done: What I learned about my inner voice is that it plays a vital role to the way we act and decisions that we make on a daily basis.Its possible that we make decisions based on fears/ past experiences without even realizing….

    thanks to this challenge i was able to pin point things that seem to drive me, bt could have a negative impact in future….awaiting challenge #13….rebuke such thoughts once

  10. l ntellimen”12 done thank bishop for your information.sometimes we think that not everyone have body thoughts now l understand why many people give up in faith even though God blessed them ist becouse they were overcome by the bad thoughts.if someone have good thought no matter what happen he will overcome.becouse faith is lntelligent.

Intellimen 12 done what I find in this video is about the where you think if you do not want to think about something bad you can change and think about something else most of the time the eyes are the one that there see and report to the mind and that picture you see will be recoded in your mind if is that will main good but if bad also that bad

  12. Intellimen challenge 12# done in this challenge to keep my self healthy and fit i walk fr long distances everyday from the church to home wich is quite far it may not be lifting weights but it keeps me healthy and fit and will continue doing it

  13. IntelliMen Challenge #12 done: What I learned about my inner voice was…

    That thoughts to defend oneself with false statements. I have learned to be reserved and not to react same time when the thought come but instead to suppress that thought and rebuke ‘Tied-Up’…the Holy Spirit does not embedd in such thoughts. n.b devil is the father of liars. I have been using this technique way before this challenge but it has helped me to be more cautious in this regard.

    Intellimen challenge done I learn t that the mind controls a person how.? If I have bad thoughts about a lady all the time my body will push me because it will be controlled by the mind

    IntelliMen Challenge #12 done: What I learned about my inner voice was that it has positive and negative things so I have decided that when I have negative thoughts I must immediately replace them with positive thoughts because negative thoughts may affect my life in a bad way

    in this challenge i have find a way out of my my bad thoughts and have find a way to control my eyes in terms of what to look at and what not to look at.

    i am now able to control all that is happening around me.

    IntelliMen # 12 Done:What I learned about my inner voice was that there are consisting and resisting . Always interfering in my peace. For me i must be carefully the voices that i hear. I learned that i must rebuke these bad thoughts comes in my inner being.I must be carefully things that i listen such as music, people that i hang around with them. These negative thoughts they come unaware. Always want to push me to sin against God.

    IntelliMen Challenge #12 – When analysing the thoughts I have the good and the bad. I realised how many influences around me add to the thoughts that I have. I decided to go to the root of the problem and not just rebuke the thought. So I began to take away whatever that was around me which was allowing me to have bad thoughts.
