In search of perfection
Many times when we think about perfection, the things that immediately come to mind are the ones we lack, that we need to add to our lives. We lack this and that—and we think that everything will be perfect only when there is nothing more to add.
However, sometimes perfection is not in adding but taking things from our lives. In fact, this is the first step to perfection. It does not make sense to add things that we lack on top of things that should not be in us. It’s like using perfume instead of taking a shower.
In your search of perfection—be it as a man, a woman, a boss, a son or daughter, in customer service, in a product, in faith, in love, etc.—start by removing everything that is unnecessary, useless or harmful.
And once you do this, you may even discover that you don’t need to add anything else. You’ll have already achieved perfection.
