Godllywood Self-Help 2018: Task as an Offering 5 - Cristiane Cardoso - English | Cristiane Cardoso - English

Have you noticed how much we speak without using words?

It’s in the way we see, walk, sit, smile, listen, avoid, get busy with, give up on, and even the way we dress. Yes, the way we dress is also a way of saying something…

When we put on the famous “house clothes”, everyone at home knows that what we want is to stay comfy and quiet– at home. When we put on the same jeans as always we’re saying we didn’t have time to think about what we wanted to wear that day. When we wear a dress that we never usually wear it’s because that dress is really special to us.

It’s a common factor but at the same time unknown by so many people. How many times have you found yourself wanting to say one thing but end up saying something else instead? That’s how many people are speaking out there, in the way they dress. They want to say they love themselves but they wear clothes that say they hate themselves.

And there a woman met him, With the attire of a harlot, and a crafty heart. (Prov. 7:10)

During that time, women who dressed in a sensual way meant to say “I’m a prostitute”. But today, when fashion states that women should dress in a sensual way, what does she say? What does she want? Who’s attention does she want to call and why? What is the true motivation in dressing that way?

“These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage. But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.” (Jude 1:16-19)

For the Task as an Offering #5, you will wear what glorifies Your Lord this coming Sunday. You will wear a skirt or dress, in an perfectly discreet style (no miniskirts or short skirts) and comfortable, that doesn’t mark any intimate parts, nothing that sticks to your body nor is transparent, because the attention you want is not from men but from your Lord. And by this say to Him, through your attire, how much you appreciate having been born a women, that can be feminine without having to be equaled to a man to have values and rights, and who doesn’t need to use her body to feel valued.

Got it?

If you don’t have a dress or skirt, ask your friend like sister to lend you one… that’s what friends are for too 🙂 Afterwards, leave your comments here about how you felt dressing so beautifully like that, okay? Let’s see if you feel what I feel 🙂

In the faith and in the Shelter of the Most High.
