Godllywood Self-Help 2018: Task as an Offering 3 - Cristiane Cardoso - English | Cristiane Cardoso - English

Do you remember the last time you heard a word that literally set you free?

You were weak, sad and about to make a wrong decision in your life but this word helped you see a light at end of the tunnel… do you remember that?

That word was nothing more than the Word of God.  When He speaks, the doors are opened, the eyes can see, the ears understand, lives are transformed, ways are changed.

The Word, when it comes from God, is so strong, that we don’t need to explain much; in fact, one word is enough! The Lord Jesus even said:

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God”. (Matthew 4:4)

For many years, the Word of God was hidden from the people and they had to depend on others in order to know what God had to tell them. Even today, there are countries that don’t allow the preaching of the Word, after all, the Bible opens the mind in such a way that those who understand it stop being dependent on religion or government and become dependent only on God.

Therefore, this will be your Task as an Offering 3. You will choose one hour every day this week just to listen to the Voice of God through His Word.  First, you are going to pray and ask Him to say what you need to hear and then you will start MEDITATING on the Bible.  This means that you are not going to read any book or use your cellphone to read the verse that the app gives you on that day.  You can opt to read one of the books of the Gospels.  As an example, my friend-like-sister in the Temple and I have been meditating on the book of John.  We started in the middle of last year and we are still on chapter 8 :).  It is so rich in messages and teachings that sometimes we meditate on only one verse for days!

If you live near your friend-like-sister, how about starting to do the same with her? Choose one or two days of the week for you to meditate together, but don’t stop taking time to meditate alone.  Meditating on the Word of God must be your daily habit, like brushing your teeth and taking a shower.

You can also do it online, if you live far from each other.  What matters is that you are giving those minutes of the week to God, to listen to His Voice and you can be sure, you will!

Write in the comments box below what God said directly to you, not what you read and thought was interesting, but what He revealed to you. When God reveals, He says what we need to hear.  It means the message is for us and not for others…

Th next Task as an Offering will be on Monday’s post!

In the faith and in the Secret Place of the Most High.
