To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled. (Titus 1:15)
With this verse, you understand many things. The reason a person doesn’t understand certain things, why they see things in a certain way, the reason for prejudice, racism, enmity, why people misinterpret everything you say… see how many things sum up the verse above.
The Task as an Offering 18 is for you to think about yourself and see what your mind and conscience have been contaminated with. Perhaps a thought against someone, a wrong idea about what it is to be holy, a desire that goes against God, rebellion against the Word of God, a wrong idea about people… Notice that I’m not saying for you to see WHO has led you to be contaminated but WHAT. You will see inside yourself and let others do the same for themselves. You’re the only one that can change yourself and as long as you have something corrupted within you, you will not take advantage of this task, which will be so good for you.
Only when you start seeing things in a different way, with good eyes, as mentioned in the verse above, will you be able to say you managed to do this task as an offering. Write about it in your diary – don’t be ashamed, the more you expose what’s inside of you, the more you will know yourself and will be able to work on it with the help of the Holy Spirit.
We only change when we recognize we need to change.
In the faith and in the Shelter of the Most High.
