Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. Romans 8.7-8
Whether you consider yourself a Christian, of the faith, member of church A, B, or C, a pastor, assistant, missionary, or have any other function within the church, it does not matter if you are in the flesh, because you are not pleasing God.
Those who are of the Holy Spirit, who are born of God, are spirit.
And what does it mean to be of the spirit or to live in the spirit?
It means to live in faith, sacrifice, righteousness.
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD. Psalm 4.5
A person cannot offer sacrifices of righteousness while he is living in the flesh.
Now, if he likes the flesh, he likes unrighteousness, because the flesh is unrighteousness.
The desires of the flesh are against the righteousness of God.
After all, how can someone say he is of God, and of truth when he lives in lies?
It is impossible to combine…
Light with darkness.
Unrighteousness with righteousness.
Lies with the truth.
We are in the final stretch of the Campaign of Justice. We are praying every day, crying out for God to do justice.
If you live in righteousness, then you have the right to cry out, to take possession of what God has promised.
But, if you live in unrighteousness, how are you going to stand in the court of God?
If you want God’s justice, you have to live in righteousness.
And to be righteous, you have to sacrifice.
Sacrifice lies, unrighteousness, what pleases the desires of the flesh.
So cleanse yourself, wash yourself, purify yourself!
Examine yourself, evaluate your life, turn away from the unrighteousness, stop doing what is wrong, so that on this Sunday, the 15th, you will have every right to charge God for His justice.
