The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty. Psalm 29.4
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not WITH HIM also freely give us all things? Romans 8.31-32
God does not call us to a religion, or to continue with the same life as before.
In this passage of Romans, He calls us to use our reason. If God gave His Son as a sacrifice for us, why wouldn’t He give us the other, less significant, things we need?
But of course, WITH HIM, He will give us all things. When we have the Son, we have everything else, and this is a guarantee!
So the Voice of God is saying: prioritize My Son, and you will have everything else. Prioritize everything else, and you won’t have anything, because whatever is achieved by faith in the promise, and not by surrendering your life on the Altar, a life for a life (the Lord Jesus already gave His, now He expects us to give ours), will be like the house built on the sand, which will soon collapse and become a great ruin.
The powerful and majestic Voice of the Lord is calling those who want to be His, to live by Him and for Him, and therefore receive far more than we need from Him, so that He may be glorified through our lives.
Everything for the One and Holy God, our Lord!
