The entire earthly ministry of the Son of God was devoted to doing the will of His Father. Shouldn’t it be the same for all other children of God, all who are born of the water and the Spirit? Wouldn’t the genuine mark of the baptism with the Holy Spirit be to do the will of God, and put it before everything else?
Yes! How could a person who says he has the Spirit of God want to put his own will first? How could a person say he has the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ, and at the same time want to see his own will done? Impossible! It would be like the darkness thinking it can create light.
I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your law is within my inward parts. Psalms 40:8
Only those who are true children of God want and find pleasure in doing His will.
Only those who are truly baptized with the Holy Spirit put the will of God first.
Only those who truly put the will of God first in their lives are sealed with the Holy Spirit.
Only those who have the Spirit of the Father are children of God the Father…
And those who have the Spirit of the Father only want to do His Holy Will.
Some people actually want to do God’s will, but their deceptive hearts persuade them to concentrate only on achieving their own dreams.
It is an absolute requirement to have the Holy Spirit if we want to serve God and do His will. Without Him it is impossible to accomplish.
Only those who are born of God are chosen to do the will of God. If a person insists on saying he is baptized with the Holy Spirit but doesn’t do His will, at the very least he is deceiving himself.
The Lord Jesus says:
For I came down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. John 6:38
Finally, whose will have you been doing here on earth?
