Who makes His angels spirits, His ministers a flame of fire. Psalm 104.4
We know the word “minister” means servant, or to give service. Therefore, we understand that God can only make those who serve Him a flame of fire. I need to be a servant before I’m a flame of fire.
There is a condition to be fulfilled by me, before the promise is fulfilled by Him. This is the reason why most Christians are unlit. They do not truly serve God.
If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor. John 12.26
To serve is to please, to prioritize the will of those who are served above their own. Unfortunately, many Christians today reverse their roles: they present their wish list to God to be served by Him, while ignoring His will for their lives.
Result: charcoal instead of a flame of fire.
