When Ahab saw him, he exclaimed, “So, is it really you, you troublemaker of Israel?” 1 Kings 18:17 (NLT)
The world views anyone with a sacrificial FAITH as a troublemaker because nothing in this world troubles the devil more than sacrifice.
Elijah offered a solution to the people’s misery… with a challenge that troubled Ahab and the prophets of Baal.
When our faith is CHALLENGED on the ALTAR, our flesh is troubled. The Lord Jesus was an example of this when He said…
…and He became deeply troubled and distressed. He told them,
“My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death.” Mark 14:33-34 (NLT)
But the devil is even more troubled by true sacrifice, and uses people and things to try and block it.
But we see that Elijah refused to be intimidated. In fact, the strong convictions of his faith troubled the prophets of Baal.
About noontime Elijah began mocking them. “You’ll have to shout louder,” he scoffed, “for surely he is a god! Perhaps he is daydreaming, or is relieving himself. Or maybe he is away on a trip, or is asleep and needs to be wakened!” 1 Kings 18:27 (NLT)
Anyone with the certainty that the Holy Spirit brings refuses to be intimidated, confronts their challenges and proves who the TRUE GOD really is!
When JESUS arrived in the region of the Gadarenes, the demons that were inside of two men said…
“Why are you interfering with us, Son of God? Have you come here to TORTURE us before God’s appointed time?” Matthew 8:29 (NLT)
Universal has always had this determination. Wherever we go we trouble the devil and anyone he is using, with our SACRIFICIAL FAITH.
Jesus always troubled the religious, the scribes and Pharisees, who did not have a SACRIFICIAL FAITH.
The question is: HAVE YOU TROUBLED THE DEVIL WITH YOUR FAITH OR HAVE YOU BEEN TROUBLED BY HIM?!
