Godllywood Self-help: #TaskasanOffering1 - Cristiane Cardoso - English | Cristiane Cardoso - English

How fascinating it is to start a year presenting an offering to God that will exalt Him in our lives! In fact, many people think that praising God is singing praises, but we know that not everyone who sings praises truly  praises God — what good is it to praise God and have a heart full of resentment, deceit, fear, doubts, gossip, immorality, etc.?

The task as an offering that I will be posting here every week, is a way to help you praise Him in truth though your life and you don’t need to have a beautifully tuned voice for that. 🙂

The first task as an offering of this new series of the Godllywood Self-help is:

Do something unexpected for someone in your family, that you would like for them to do for you.

This task will teach you two things:

  1. Before receiving anything, you need to first give
  2. And that giving is much better than receiving…

The Godllywood group will be doing this task for three months, if you want to accompany the group, program yourself for the next three months, doing something different each week for someone different; and even if no one from your family lives near or are only a few, understand that family is not just made up by those who are blood related, but by those who are of the same faith too…

Take pictures and share your task as an offering on your social networks with #taskasanoffering1

The tasks as offerings that call more attention (and have the #) will be chosen to be used here on the blog as examples, so ladies give your best! Talk to your friend like sister to see what you can do different each week, two heads are always better than one. 🙂

And don’t forget about our Godllywood Self-help monthly meeting (time and location may vary). For an address near you, please contact the group via this link.

I have completed task 1 Margie Christian and Shanice Naomi. Over the past few weeks I have been helping and supporting a few family members. Not just for the task but because I wanted to. So firstly my grandfather went away and asked me to help him a few months back but was unable to. But I the end before he went I helped him and he was happy. Secondly my cousin is pregnant and growing up we were really close and I missed that. So I decided to help her with her baby reveal shower and host it. It has improved our relationship and she was happy for the help.

I have completed task 1. My mother is late and has 4 sisters who live in my home country-Zimbabwe. Someone I know was selling nice wrap around cloths that women in my country use to cover their clothes. I decided to buy for all of them and had these delivered to them. They didn’t expect this and they appreciated this gesture.

I completed my first task. As my immediate family do not live close to me, I thought of my dear and close friend. A women of true beauty, always available to listen and provide good advice in good and challenging times. As a way to say thank you I brought her a bunch of roses.
