We don’t choose to come into the world, but we have the power to choose where we’ll spend eternity.

In one way or another, many of the fallen remain depressed and discouraged in the faith.

Returning to Church becomes even more challenging because evil voices whisper in their ear:

– What is everyone going to say or think about you?
– No one else is going to believe you! Everyone will think you’re a failure.
– It’s better if you just read the Bible, pray, and follow Jesus at home, away from the judging eyes of those who know you. This way, nobody will criticize or look at you with disdain.

This is exactly how evil wants you to feel. Because, the more a Christian isolates himself from communion in Church, the more vulnerable he becomes to the attacks of evil.

This is how it begins: one day he reads the Bible, but he forgets the next. One day he prays fervently, but the next he doesn’t. Little by little, without realizing it, he replaces the practice of faith with “emotional” things. And when you least expect it, his flame has stopped burning. It turns to coal.

For example, when I was a young man, I fell in love with a girl in my church. She had the spiritual conditions to be my wife. We got engaged and began to buy things for our house.

In time, I discovered that it was not God’s will. I put an end to the engagement. However, then I had to face criticism from her parents, my parents, the entire church, including bishops and pastors…

I felt embarrassed by all the judgmental looks. It was not easy!

Yet, I continued going to church frequently, regardless of the embarrassment. After all, it was my salvation that was at stake and I couldn’t play around with that!

To maintain it, I needed to remain close to the fire (church). Proverbs 26.20

Even though my face was flushed with embarrassment!

God allows humiliations so we do not become proud of our own faith.

If this is your case, give thanks to God for the humiliation and move forward! For those who humble themselves, in due time, will be exalted. (Matthew 23.12)
